Roland Boyce, Senior Pastoral Consultant

Roland Boyce graduated from Cascade College (B.A.), Western Baptist Seminary (M.Div.), and completed post-graduate studies in psychology at Marylhurst College.

Rev. Boyce served as Youth for Christ Campus Life Director and Executive Director from 1963-1975. He ministered throughout the Evangelical Covenant denomination in the role of Senior Pastor during the years of 1975-2006 in Milwaukie, OR; Stockton CA; Rockford, IL; Loveland, CO; and Carrolton, TX. He recently served as Associate Pastor of Older Adult Ministries in Alexandria, MN (2006-2010) and Lead Pastoral Counselor at Chase Oaks Bible Churches (2012 -2018).

During his tenure with the Evangelical Covenant Church, he served on the Covenant Executive Board, the Board of the Ordered Ministry, and as Dean of the School of Prayer. In addition, he led the School of Prayer and the School of Spiritual Warfare throughout the country.

Roland authored The Drive Through Devotional Guide: A Daily Guide for People in a Hurry; Issues and Answers: A Guide to Contemporary Cultural Issues from a Biblical Perspective for Parents, Youth and Children; School of Prayer; School of Spiritual Warfare: Standing Firm in Christ; and The Ultimate Calling: The Perils and Privileges of the Pastorate. His newest work, Holding Patterns: What to do While You Are Waiting…on God, will be published in December 2021.

Boyce brings the seasoned capabilities of exhortation, counseling, consulting, networking, coaching, and writing to the position of Senior Pastoral Consultant with the primary focus on one-to-one ministry to pastors and staff personnel.
