Daniel Newby, Urban Ministries and Mobilization Consultant
Daniel Newby was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He is a graduate of Wayne State University (B.S.), Oral Roberts University (M.DIV.), and Elon University (MBA). He has completed doctoral coursework (D.Min.) at Luther Rice Seminary and is currently conducting dissertation research in the area of entrepreneurial missions with the goal of assisting churches in developing innovative and holistic strategies to impact their ministry context through transformational engagement.
His background includes over 30 years of diverse ministry experience in both the local and global church. He has served more recently as a church planter, associate pastor, independent consultant, speaker, and itinerant missionary throughout the United States, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean with organizations Christian Missionary Fellowship International and New Directions International.
Daniel is passionate about helping pastors, and their congregations cultivate their unique ministry identity, increase their evangelistic effectiveness, and develop a global vision for missions. Furthermore, he is committed to the work of biblical justice and racial reconciliation/peace-making, which are integral for a healthy Church and Christian witness.
